Durrington Community Church

Mission Statement

Our mission in Durrington is to lead people to Christ and to help everyone grow in faith through a loving church committed to using everybody’s God given gifts.

Our four emphases are

The Bible

The Holy Spirit

The Community

Our main service starts at 10:30 with tea and coffee beforehand.

Services normally finish between 12.00 and 12.30

We meet every Sunday in the village hall.  However, there are many other activities during the week.

Announcement from

the Leadership Team

We have been praying consistently as to whether acquiring the former Durrington Free Church building was the Lord’s will for us. The leadership has now been informed that we have been gifted this building.  Praise God!

Our overseer Brian Meardon has said:

Praise our Lord for His hand upon all that is taking place.

Jesus said that He only did that which He saw His Father doing.

We pray that the Lord will show you how this sign will develop and flourish.

We must emphasise that there is a long way to go but we need to praise God for this answer to prayer.

We have made no moves yet but we want to begin to ask for an input from you for your initial thoughts about how best to use this facility.

We need to read the relevant paper work first but it would be useful to know what others are thinking.  We need prayerful thoughts.

We hope to meet as a leadership soon and discuss the whole development, but clearly it is something that everybody can contribute thoughts to. So please pray and do give us your thoughts.

We have an Open the Book team that goes into the local infant and junior schools on a monthly basis.

Lent 2019

As a sign of our increasing fellowship with All Saints church, this year we are following the same study group as the folk there.  Below is a list of the times we shall meet and another list of places when they are meeting and it would be good, if folk visited one of the Anglican church groups during that time as a visible sign of our solidarity, remembering out of politeness to give a ring in advance to say we are coming:
