Announcement from

the Leadership Team

We have been praying consistently as to whether acquiring the former Durrington Free Church building was the Lord’s will for us. The leadership has now been informed that we have been gifted this building.  Praise God!

Our overseer Brian Meardon has said:

Praise our Lord for His hand upon all that is taking place.

Jesus said that He only did that which He saw His Father doing.

We pray that the Lord will show you how this sign will develop and flourish.

We must emphasise that there is a long way to go but we need to praise God for this answer to prayer.

We have made no moves yet but we want to begin to ask for an input from you for your initial thoughts about how best to use this facility.

We need to read the relevant paper work first but it would be useful to know what others are thinking.  We need prayerful thoughts.

We hope to meet as a leadership soon and discuss the whole development, but clearly it is something that everybody can contribute thoughts to. So please pray and do give us your thoughts.

We have an Open the Book team that goes into the local infant and junior schools on a monthly basis.

Light Party - an alternative to Halloween!

We are pleased to announce we will be holding our Light Party on Saturday 26 October in the Village Hall.

This is a family-friendly alternative to Halloween where children (and adults!) can dress up, not in Halloween costumes but as Disney characters!

The party is from 5pm to 7pm and although some refreshments are provided, it is a "bring and share" party.

Please note all adults must be accompanied by at least one child!

The Trussell Trust

The Trussell Trust foodbank needs the following items:

Fruit juice (long life)
Tinned rice pudding
Dried milk
Instant mash
Chocolate
Soup
Tinned green vegetables
Tinned tomatoes.

If you would like to donate an item or two, there is a collection point in Amesbury Tesco.

Please no out of date stuff, it can't be put in food parcels.
Thank you
